Unique hand-crafted tiny house and

        Woodcarver in the Distillery, First grade art

        display at Maytown Reformed UCC church,

       gunmaker, fur trapper,spinner,    

        horseless carriage, Civil War re-enactors,

       WWII jeep and display, cornhusk dolls, blacksmith,

       handmade furniture, baskets, photography, totes,

painted signs, schnitzelbunk, wooden spoons,

       treenware, beef jerky, candles, home decor…….

 School display – see many pictures, mementoes

 and artifacts from Maytown school – both as an

 elementary school and a high school

 Visit the site of the 1967 Maytown Bank Robbery

 Take a tour of the old bank and the house that

 is attached; see bank artifacts and articles from

days of old.

 

9:00 – 4:00 Check out the decorated doors from the

Door Decorating Contest – within walking distance

from the square

 

9:00 – 4:00 Visit “Shenk’s” store on the square

Enjoy the ambiance of a general store of long

ago. Delicious colonial foods and real penny

 candy available for purchase

 

9:00 – 4:00 See the artwork from all first grades in

the Donegal Primary School – Maytown Reformed

UCC – (across from the “water place”)

 

9:00 – 12:00 Colonial Kids’ Crafts $.25

 located on the lawn at center square

 Make a humdinger, do some weaving or tin

 punching and more……..

 

10:00 – 1:00 Churches’ Open House

 Visit all 4 Houses of Worship – displays of church artifacts

 and local artists’ work

 

10:00 & 12:00 Historical Walking Tour

Led by local historian, Pastor Bob Lescallette

Tickets on sale in front of the Museum

10:00 – 11:30 Folksinger – Kara Hartzell

in the square

11:30 – Speech by Simon Cameron in the square

1:00 – Speech by Thaddeus Stevens in the square 

1:30 School program begins

Second grade songs and dances in the square

 followed by the Traditional Maypole dance 

performed by DIS fifth graders

 

3:00 Cake Walk in the square

$.25 each walk – put your quarter in the can and walk to the music.

When the music stops , the cake is awarded to the person closest to the cake.
