Since the Maytown Historical Society is a non-profit organization, donations of artifacts may be deducted from income taxes at their appraised value---just as cash donations to the Society may be deducted If you have questions about this, or are contemplating making a donation, please feel free to contact us

Want to give a great big thank you to all that came out to Mayfest today! For a small town event we had a great turnout, we completely sold out of food well before we were expecting and really appreciate the support. Special thanks to those who opened up their homes, we appreciate everyone in the community for coming together and making this event happen with us! See you all again soon!
Mayfest Underway! Make sure to stop out and enjoy lunch with us! Multiple vendors, reenactment areas set up and the house and garden tours underway! We could not ask for a more beautiful day! Thanks to all participating!
Preparations underway! Maypole is up and displays are about finished. Make sure to join us for a great time with the family! May the 4th be with you, and May the 5th be a great day!
We are one week away! Come join us Saturday May 5th as we celebrate Maytown’s 258th Birthday! Traditional events such as the cake walk and maypole dance will be performed, along with various demonstrators of trades of the time and multiple vendors. Come enjoy both breakfast and lunch at the Historical Society’s food stand and go on tour of the various houses and gardens open throughout town. Hoping for a great turnout and thanks to all who have helped make this event possible!
